Confessions of a “Guru”
It’s pretty weird.
During the past few years, many people online have begun calling me a “guru” - and I just don’t know how to take it.
I certainly don’t think of myself as some all-knowing guru - I’m just a regular guy who’s blessed to do what I love everyday.
However, what troubles me is people trying to copy what I’m doing - but their heart is in the wrong place.
It’s obvious from the moment you speak to them they only have one thing on their mind, and that’s moolah.
And they DON’T CARE about anyone but themselves. Never have, never will.
Here’s a great quote my guest coach on this month’s coaching program said:
“People don’t care how much you know - until they know how much you care”
I admit, in the past I got a little carried away with my marketing (ok, maybe even a lot), but I feel like I have more clarity.
It could be having attended so many funerals lately. It could be the addition of my third child. It could be looking back at my first job at the children’s hospital and remembering all those kids that have passed away.
But I’ve really gotten back to my core values - and that is simply to help others live a better life. That’s it.
All of my friends, my sister and even my father read my emails every day - and that’s one of the best ways to remind me that every person getting my emails is a PERSON.
A person with feelings, emotions, friends and family.
Someone that should be treated with respect.
And I promise to continue to bring you my strategies to improve your life - even though there might be times you do not agree with me.
Will I continue to sell products?
Heck yeah. I love creating life-changing products and I have no problem building a reputable business that helps people and can bring me more income at the same time.
Thank YOU for continuing to read my emails and all the support throughout the years.
And as always… stay strong.
Ryan
