My 500k Weekend
This weekend I went to the wedding of one of my closest childhood friends. Actually, I was in the wedding party so I also attended his rehearsal dinner and Sunday brunch too.
Over the years, I’ve probably been to 50 or so weddings, but have never seen anything like this.
My guess is the pricetag was around $500k for the evening.
12 piece band, crystal, 30 foot drapes around the entire space, 350 guests, top-shelf everything, and the list goes on and on.
It was impressive to say the least.
You see, my good friend is a very successful investment banker. And when I started talking to his mother, she starting telling me how impressive it is that all of our closest friends are doing so well.
Another of my close friends is a famous restauranteur and owns over a dozen popular night clubs and restaurants all over the
US.
Then it really started to hit me as I went down the line - thinking about all my good friends growing up.
CEOs, entrepreneurs, and the list goes on and on.
The one thread we all had in common was the BELIEF we could make it. There was never a doubt in any of our minds. And we all had a strong support system.
There’s a statistic that gets thrown around often in the “motivational” circles. And while there is not a shred of scientific evidence, it makes a lot of sense.
Here ya go…
If you take the average income of your 10 closest friends - that’s approximately what you also earn.
Take a minute and really think about it.
Are you surrounding yourself with like-minded successful people or still surrounded by people who have a lack-mentality.
If you want to be successful - you MUST surround yourself with other success-minded people and cut negative people out of your life.
It’s actually pretty simple, and it works.
Ok, I’ve gotta run now and get ready for my big Bootcamp. It’s starting in just 3 days.
Stay strong,
Ryan
