Outsource Your Tech Team!

Over the years, I’ve hired close to 75 different “techies”. Everyone from hardcore programmers to general webmasters. And they have come from the US, Canada, India, Russia, Pakistan, The Philippines and a handful of other countries.

For the past 6 months, I’ve been using a great freelance site with powerful results so far.

It’s called oDesk.

I’ve used other freelance sites like elance and guru in the past – but oDesk has been quite impressive with their talent so far.

You can open a project for a specific time frame or something ongoing.

Simply create a project, set your budget and programmers from all over the world will bid on your project. You can see their feedback from other projects as well as their portfolio.

If you are looking for tech help – I definitely recommend giving oDesk a try.

Coming soon.. I’ll give you my best tactics for hiring the right person and making sure you don’t get burned!

  1. Hi Ryan,

Definitely want to hear about hiring folks. I’m about to hire a tech person and social media person plus someone to answer my phone when I’m out of town. Any tips will be greatly appreciated.

  2. Because of your techniques Ryan, I’m on the number 2 page on google for “Denver Personal Trainer”. And I have only been marketing my site for two months. It is a very competitive keyword phrase. As you know, Denver is very active. I now have people contacting me on SEO advice. Thanks big man…

  3. Hey Ryan,

I agree Odesk is a great place to find talented individuals. But, you can find more than “techies”. I have hired writers, assistants, researchers and more from that site.

P.S you usually get what you pay for. So the cheapest bid is not always the best.

  4. Hate to my shamelessly self promote, however, its not the cheapest source of tech work.oDesk is an awesome place if you are a programmer and want to get top dollar (compared to lets say elance)

  5. I agree – Odesk is one great way to find great techies (AND MORE – just as Shannon pointed out). In fact, I hired some teammates from Odesk so that we can serve clients who hate the tech aspect of managing a site. If any of you need assistance, and don’t want to go through the hassle of placing a bid, just send me a note and we’d be honored to serve you. Take care 🙂

  6. Some of the sources are (is) the place where you pay $5 for task.
Would be niice to see your new tips about hiring the best person. Had some bad experience in the past

  7. Ryan,

    Thanks for your advice!
Like this we are able to make a short-cut!
    Less bumpy roads! 😉

    Thank you,
