Chest and Abs?
I like to break up my workouts. Each day I do different routines and constantly change up the environment.
On Friday, I went to the fitness center located in a country club.
Three teen boys came in, each probably 15 years old - and I overhead them talking about working out.
As always, there was one who was the self-appointed leader of the group giving each of them their workouts.
And then I heard that dreaded phrase
“I just wanna work chest and abs”
Uuuhhhhhh
But that really is how most people think of exercise. Just a collection of body parts.
They go right to the bench and start doing the usual suspects: flat bench, incline, decline, flys, etc.
So inefficient.
Start thinking in terms of multi-joint exercises.
Pull-ups. Pushups. Dumbbell swings.
