I give a lot of my fellow information marketers a hard time. And truthfully, many of them deserve it (and they know it!).
Some stopped caring long ago – and, to be honest, there are some that NEVER cared about their clients success.
But the world is not all gloom and doom. And I’m certainly not the only one trying to overdeliver.
There’s a movement happening right now. Some are making the change and some never veered off the path.
Today, I’d like to focus on the POSITIVE in the world of information marketing.
There are A LOT of really smart marketers doing it right.
Providing great products that deliver results. Marketing with integrity. Going the extra mile for their customers. And overdelivering.
LET US KNOW!
We should celebrate the renewed spirit of “entrepreneurs who actually give a sh*t about their customers”.
So below, tell us who YOU like? Who delivers value? Who really cares about your success? Who would you feel comfortable endorsing?
They can be in ANY market (it does NOT have to be just “internet marketing”).
Let’s hear about people in all different markets. I don’t care if it’s coaching, fitness, parenting, real estate, internet marketing, health, etc… (and to make sure there is absolutely no hidden agenda, you can include links but NOT affiliate links).
I’m looking forward to sharing the spotlight with deserving entrepreneurs…

Ryan Lee (who is that guy?)
Jason Fladlien and Wil MAttos
Stu Tracy and Wray Wishlist guys
eh? that enough LOL of course ME LOL
I like Brendon Burchard. He delivers real value and goes beyond.
Really? What value exactly did you get with his product? I’m curious to know because I thought it was a lot of fluff.
I love Brendon’s stuff too. His delivery and optimism really helps motivation. But you do need a few quid first LOL.
Yeah, I agree on the optimism — I just thought there would be more details for my money.
My mom can give me optimism for free!
I got a lot from Brendon. He is one of my favorites. Great inside into creating books, seminars, webinars, and how to market using tools like Kajabi and Optimize Press.
I am applying a lot of his stuff in my offline and online activities, it works!
I have just bought into Brendon Burchard product and I am blown away at his style of teaching and caring of people. You can tell he wants to give real value. I want to be him someday in the future myself
Gag me with a spoon!
Here’s who I follow and stop what I’m doing to read:
1. Ryan Lee – yes I have to include you
2. Tim Kerber
3. Ben Settle
4. Ronnie Nijmeh
5. Mike Hill
6. Khai Ng
I absorb Dan Kennedy…but I don’t really read his emails. Just the newsletters and CDs and products.
Doberman Dan (Dan Gallapoo) of DobermanDan.com is one.
Top of my list for telling it straight: Ryan Lee. Even though you and I share some of the same “space” online as we coach and teach our students, Ryan, I have sent countless people over here.
They know that you don’t pull any punches, tell it like it is, and always have great things to write about.
And others like Dan Kennedy, Bill Glazer, Chuck Lewis have had major impacts on me.
Two young guys are coming up and will hit their strides soon:
Mike Monty (you should see the guy teach Yo-Yo to people in addition to his timelapse drawing abilities and website design) and
Jeffrey Greco (and Italian/Jewish guy who came back east after success with his Internet business in San Diego – he’s starting some new sites (in the personal relationship area) and the stories he tells about the two sides of his family will make you roar with laughter).
It would be unfair at this time to give their online locations, though people can contact me if they want more. When they have their materials ready, I’ll be happy to shout their praises and give out their contact info.
Life’s good, Ryan – and thanks for giving the space to chat about these two upcoming stars. Enjoy the skiiing!

Here are some information marketers that are worthy of my time,
attention and money…
Ken McCarthy
He provides useful information with minimal hype:
http://www.kenmccarthy.com/ (no affil.)
Terry Dean
He provides information that’s based on extensive experience:
http://www.theterrydean.com/ (no affil.)
Drayton Bird
An old direct mail veteran who also teaches some useful stuff on digital marketing:
http://www.draytonbird.com/ (no affil.)
Jay Abraham
http://abraham.com (no affil.)
He provides sound marketing advice that plain works.
As for the ‘Usual Suspects’ in the $1,000 commission guru
launch back-scratching club, they’re not worthy of my trust.
Dedicated to mutual success,
Shaun
You of course; Jim Edwards, John Rhodes, Paul Evans, Brian G. Johnson, Stephen Pierce
Hi Ryan,
Guys I like to listen to,
Ryan Lee/Russell Brunson – Membership Guys
Frank Kern – Master or Video Marketing
Chad Hamzeh – CPA and Traffic
Kelly Felix – Niche Marketing
Justin Brooke – SEO
John Paul Aguiar – Social Media
Mike Hill – Marketer
Chris Farrell – For Guys Starting Out

John S Rhodes
Darren Scott Monroe – gotta dig his brutal honesty :)
Dan Kennedy
Ryan Lee
Andy Jenkins
Brendon Burchard
Ryan Deiss – although he treads the line sometimes…
Frank Kern
…and all for completely different reasons….
Here’s my list:
– Brendon Burchard: everything he does and teaches really resonates with me
– Ryan Lee: why else am I here?
– Jason Fladlien: that man is a product creation machine and he is fun to hang out with at events
– Dennis Becker: he set up a great community (Earn 1K a Day) and you can clearly see that he really cares about all his customers/members
– Igor Ledochowski: the conversational hypnosis master
And I read every mail I get from the following marketing experts. These people offer great value for everyone on their lists and have a great sense of humor:
– Veit Schenk
– Costas Peppas
– Brandon Ellis
I did a major cull and this is who I have left
Perry Marshall
Justin Brooke
Ryan Lee
Gideon Shalwick
Lewis Howe
Pat Rigsby
Sam Bakhtiar
Dan Kennedy
Bill Glazer
Wow – I’m shocked (or maybe not…) to see a distinct lack of women in that list (something I’m working hard to put right for MY peeps ;-) )
My list would include
Sandi Krakowski
Carrie Wilkerson
Paul Evans
Ryan Lee (of course)
Joanna Martin
enjoy the ski-ing!
cheers
Tanya
Hi Ryan, I really like the info I get from you. I also like Coby Wright who sends me lots of great info. I get emails from all the marketers listed in other comments. There is tons of good info out on IM. You just need to find one you really feel good about and learn.. I am new at IM althought I have been new for maybe to long.
Thanks
Don
I trust very few…..
But those I trust without a doubt in my mind are:
Ryan Lee – of course, or I wouldn’t be here.
Ray Edwards- Copywriter, Marketer
Those are the only ones I can think of that I trust. Ryan and Ray I trust with anything, completely, to deliver value and really care about customers.
But I have to say Ryan is the KING of delivering the best and most to customers.
Ryan Lee
Gary Vaynerchuk
Jeff Vacek
Jeff Johnson
Jeff Walker
Andy Jenkins
Ryan Lee
There’s many others that I feel really take interest in their customer’s success.
But this is a good start.
My short list would include 1.RYAN LEE (of course, right? lol) 2. FRANK KERN 3. DAN KENNEDY 4. GARY VAYNERCHUK 5. JOHN REESE 6. JOE POLISH 7. RICH SCHEFREN
Of course your one of the tops Ryan!
Got to give it up to:
Chris Farrell—for the newbies
Ryan Diess–test the hell out of everything (tests his underwear in the morning!)
Frank Kern—just a ninja
Brendon Bruchard—overdelivers like you and genuinely cares about his customers like you
Dan Kennedy—the godfather and he’s Dan Kennedy
Joe Polish–genius in his own way
Zach Even-Esh—-keeping it real and always give %110 in his content
Matt Bacak—–Fellow man from Youngstown and a Marketing Maverick
Ryan and Yanik were fundamental in my getting started online. Great training for fundamental skills you will absolutely need – and presented in a non-basic very smart way with lots of cutting edge strategies.
Kern, Jeff Walker, and Andy Jenkins took my business to a new level for relationship building and product launches.
And over the last 2 years, no one has had a bigger impact on my business than Ryan Deiss. The guy is simply one of the smartest direct response marketers alive, and the amount of testing that he and his team does on EVERYTHING speaks volumes for the information he teaches. If he’s teaching it, you KNOW it works in the real world across multiple markets.
Keep rockin!
Joel
I agree, Joel. Ryan D and Perry always blow me away with their combination of tactics and strategy. I just got back from Traffic & Conversion Summit and for the second time in a row was incredibly impressed with the content.
Dave Guindon and Jason Fladlien stand out the most for me. Everybody has an agenda, including Dave and Jason… as well as yourself Ryan. Trust is just one “angle” ALL experts
use to gain trust from others, for the sole purpose of taking money from them. It just makes
it sound more ethical. But come on Ryan, trust??? You’re just using the trust you build as a tool to gain greater leverage to buy more expensive products from you.
I’m not saying that you or any other “expert” can’t be trusted, but I will say that when someone comes up to me and says, “Trust Me!”- I’m running for the hills.
So, why did I choose Dave and Jason? Dave is a very technical yet personable online marketer. He’s a computer programmer with all the skills and abilities most marketers really could use. When he promotes “most” products, he tests it, records it and then tells his subscribers how he profited from it. To top it off, he will even tell you bad points about the product. Sometimes…I repeat, sometimes as a bonus, he will create a program that will improve or enhance the product he’s promoting. So I buy.
Jason, on the other hand, is simpler. His webinars are exceptionally informative, more so than just about anyone else for that matter. (Too bad Dave Guindon doesn’t do webinars)
Jason also has a lot of great products that solve many problems, but each product handles only one problem.
Actually made progress with my business using their products…
Naomi Dunford
Sean D’Souza
Ryan Lee
Have not purchased anything but get great insights from…
Clay Collins
Pat Flynn
Don’t see what all the fuss is about…
Marie Forleo and Laura Roeder
Brendan Burchard (and unfortunately spent a lot of money on him!)
(I hope they don’t come after me now and call me a “turkey.” :)
I struggled online for a few years and bought a WSO from a guy james boulay. He throws stuff out there once in a while but likes to hide. It took me daily nagging to get him and his secretary kept telling me he was at Coca Cola, Vista something, all over with big companies. I got his cell and skype when I said I was a single mom. I honestly just wanted to thank him and that was it.
I told him my story how I was abused and work in a library to hide it from my boyfriend. I got attention on things I jokingly said and I knew he was writing down questions because he was repeating what I was saying and he kept saying hold on.
Long story short, he told me to fix my situation first, had his lawyer call me on his dime, got me out of that relationship, got my son back, and I’m making around $4,000 a month on AdSense based on my story and he helped me set it up, told me where to write about the topics, refunded the price I paid for his book, and took so many extra miles nobody ever did for me that I can’t help but crying as I write this. He taught me real prioritizing. His life isn’t as a millionair its watching his kids laugh he said that makes him go everyday. The only thing he wanted from me was to “give your kid the best life you can and pray for me”. I think he has cancer or some nasty health issue.
It’s a long story, but the best way to learn how to succeed in business is to follow your heart. It’s not money that makes you its “after sales” help, its carin for a customer.
I know I won’t do what he did but everytime I buy something (I really need to get in your inner circle to expand this mission I have going) I feel forgotten. That’s why he got my vote.
Who sells the best products? Peter Garrety, Paul Clifford, Darren Monroe. Ryans blogs teach me a TON and I am dying to get into his coaching program.
That one thing, take the extra step and impact a life, is the most meaningful thing I’ve learned online. Until Ryan blows me away :] sorry for the long first post I’ll be back!
I bought from Chris munch also, even Paganini has good products as well.
Hi Ryan, thank you for all the inspiration.
Besides you there are
Adam Short, NPC
Dan Kennedy
Eben Pagan,
Frank Kern,
Jeff Walker,
Alex Mandossian,
John Reese,
Andy Jenkins
Brendon Burchard
Don Crowther
Ed Dale
and more.
You guys are like therapy for the money mindset.
Thanks a ton.
I have probably followed everyone over the few years I have been poking around this industry. At the end of the day, the two that I have received 100x the value from compared to what I may have ever paid them are Dax Aurand and Matt Trainer. For over a year now since buying a product from Dax, he holds 3 webinars a week for 2+ hrs discussing anything to do with his products or IM in general. He is constantly a top donator of products whenever there is an online call for a charitable cause and his stuff kicks a**. Matt is in the process of completely redoing his business/life model right now and I am excited to be on for the ride with what he is doing. I do believe there is value to be gained from any of the “gurus”- even if it is to just learn from their sales process and copy when they do their launches.
The people that I consider most genuine are…
–You (Ryan Lee)
–Joel Marion
–Vince Delmonte
–Craig Ballantyne (if you don’t already get Early To Rise–SIGN UP: http://www.earlytorise.com/)
–Frank Kern
–Jeff Walker
–Brendon Burchard
–Elliott Hulse
Greetings Ryan,
Some really influential marketers in my life, besides you, have to be:
1. Anik Singal. He’s upbeat, gives & gives & gives. He’s presently doing a 15 week course for an obscenely affordable price. There were upsells, but he’s right there, with weekly webinars that don’t sell anything, fielding some questions, etc.
2. Gary Vaynerchuk. I saw and met Gary last year in Bellingham, WA. Afterward his presentation, a bunch of us met at a restaurant and chatted about life, marketing, success, etc. He’s like you, Ryan – doesn’t pull punches and says it like it is.
3. Perry Marshall. Planet Perry still clings to Google Adwords, but he’s an intelligent and insightful writer who typically has some great content to share.
4. Frank Kern. I read Frank’s book last year that had no title,. It was alright – nothing mind blowing, but Frank also just LOVES to be in front of the camera, telling us what’s on his mind and how it can benefit all of us.
5. Taylor Swift. Actually, I’m impressed with whomever markets Taylor. The costumes, designs, cover layouts, pics, etc. Her music could’ve been so-so, and she still would have succeeded.
6. Corey and Winter: Those boys are the garage band of internet marketing. They’re following the formula, making it work, having to quiet down the kids during training webinars, etc. I don’t follow them as closely as I did, but have gleaned at least a few shiny pebbles.
7. Charles Swindoll: The Sermonator has been sharing the gospel on radio for 4 or more decades, now. His content is always fresh, insightful and I hang on every word. Great wit. You can tell he totally loves what he does.
8. Michael Masterson: The Early To Rise mogul has become quieter in the last few years. I expect they weren’t making as much from the internet side, so changed course. FYI: I first saw you, Ryan, on an ETR seminar DVD.
9. Jack Nicklaus: His golf game could speak loudly enough for himself in his heyday, but his instructional videos on golf cover enough for anyone at any level of expertise to learn and improve, and teaching to that range of experienced and inexperienced golfers can be very, very hard (and impressive) to do.
10. Jane Polinder: Likely none of you know Jane. She’s a go-getter local girl I know. She does real estate, paralegal, is attending college and is a single mom with 5 girls. A Korean orphan, adopted to the US when she was 7, she has that appreciation of the riches of the USA. She shares that with her daughters. It would not surprise me for some of you to become familiar with her daughters’ names some day. One’s into music. One’s aggressively succeeding at gymnastics and has won 3 state championships at the age of 13. One’s into ballet and music. Jane inspires me as a marketer and entrepreneur.
Entrepreneurship: The profession where we have to billow our own sails.
You. Can I have my prize now?
I also like Ryan Deiss, Garret Gunderson and Seth Godin.
There are loads of goodies and loads of baddies, but I have to say the few times I have refunded have all done it without too much of a problem, and for me that says even the baddies aren’t that bad.
But of course it’s the content that matters, and frankly, there really is a ton of untested theory out there. The last good thing I bought apart from RLM was from Bill Guthrie. Big thumbs up to that fella.
I also love the stuff Alex Becker and Joel Comm are currently sharing. There are loads more of course, but these are the most recent from the last couple of days.
Well of course Ryan Lee, I’ve been following Ryan for all long time. Currently active with Lee McIntyre, Brendan Burchard, and Terry Dean.
Also learning some interesting things from Terri Levine, who specializes in coaching-related IM.
Ryan Lee
Justin Brooke
Brendon Burchard
In my knowledge first one is you “Ryan Lee”
Then…
Andreas Bard
and some more as well…
I unsubscribed from a lot of lists last year (particularly from the Syndicate) because I was tired of not hearing any content from people but just get product launch emails constantly.
The only guys I follow now:
Craig Ballantyne – awesome content, maybe the hardest working person in IM
Perry Marshall – brilliant
Ryan Deiss – probably the most succesful and cutting-edge marketer
Ryan Lee – great content, prolific, also a family guy
Ok, here is my list, the order does not have anything to do with best,
Obviously Ryan Lee, it is why I am here
Brendon Butchard
Jeff Walker
Andy Jenkins
Dan Kennedy
Randy Gage
Joe Polish
Rich Schefren
Tom Screiter
Frank Kern
Mike Koenig
Burke Hedges
Rich Schefren
Mike Filsaime
I am sure there are others that I can’t remember right now, but the above is a heavy duty list. If we apply only a small part of their knowledge, we can create immense fortunes.
Jimmy D. Brown
Paul Evans
Carrie Wilkerson
Ryan Lee
Justin Brooke
Willie Crawford
Mike Hill
Main reason this is my list. I trust these IM’ers, they are all very good, and they all know how to effectively teach what they know.
1: Ryan Lee
2: Bedros Keullian
3: Micheal Dunlop
4:Shannon Hamilton
5: Vince Delmonte
Sandi Krakowski
Dani Johnson
Mari Smith
Oops! I forgot one more that I really trust and puts out really good stuff.
Add Jim Cockrum to my list too.
hi
I only trust Seth Godin
Jay Abraham
Sam Bahktier
and You and Me..LOL
Where are the ladies? I trust:
Sandi Krakowski
Angela Brooks
Charlotte Siems
Chalene Johnson
Mari Smith
Mara Glazer
Yes I see a HUGE lack of women. Some of the most kick @ss marketers are women! Here are some of my favorites:
Sandi Krakowski
Fabienne Fredrickson
Marie Forleo
Mari Smith
Amy Porterfield
Lewis Howes
Brendon Butchard
Eben Pagan
Michael Port
Brendon Burchard
Perry Marshall
Ali Brown
Lisa Sasevich
Kim Clausen
Alex Mandossian
Chris Farrell
Jay Abraham
Sandi Krakowski
Angela Brooks
Sandi Krakowski
Bernadette Doyle
Chris Farrell
Jo Barnes
Brendon Burchard
Phew, I echo Tanya, Where are the women?
Also, I thought the question was “entrepreneurs who actually give a sh*t about their customers”. Who really cares about your success?
From what I’ve seen most of the “big names” don’t really care about us. There is a lot of hype and sales tactics that make people act from fear. Also the same approach doesn’t work for everyone and we have to find people who are aligned with the way we want to do business.
I prefer the approach of people like:
Sandi Krakowski (my mentor who REALLY cares about her clients and gives them over the top value)
Suzanne Falter-Barns and Jeffrey Van Dyke
Carrie Wilkerson
Ryan Lee – has to have a mention of course.
Tad Hargraves – Marketing for Hippies
Not saying anyone on the list isn’t great at what they do but I think more people are looking for a different way of doing things.
Chiming in as well with a list of ROCKIN’ female marketers-
Sandi Krakowski
Carrie Wilkerson
Chalene Johnson
Mari Smith
Mara Glazer
Amy Porterfield
Some great names on here, but I’m surprised no one mentioned Andrew Lock. Smart marketer and a great, honest guy.
Dani Johnson
Sandi Krakowski
Carrie Wilkerson
Chalene Johnson
Pat Flynn from Smart Passive Income
Jamie from Eventual Millionaire
Andrew Warner from Mixergy
People I’ve found that are the most interested in truly helping and have really good information are:
Ali Brown
Sandi Krakowski
Gideon Shalwick
Fabienne Fredrickson
Marie Forleo
Chalene Johnson
Tom Breeze
Yeah – can’t believe no one said Lynn Terry – 15 years online. She lives right by me. We hang out. She’s the REAL DEAL.
Sandi Krakowski
Kim Garst
While we have many good marketer’s today…
I miss Corey Rudl…great guy.
1. Ryan Lee (far above ANY competition)
2. Andrew Lock
3. Lewis Howe
4. Mike Hill
5. Mari Smith
Ryan, I wouldn’t even be on this page if I didn’t value your approach, business style and training. IMHO, you are top notch.
I’m shocked that nobody has mentioned Travis Sago. I’ve been on his list for three years and bought a few things from him. I even joined Wealthy Affiliate and stayed for a year so he would get the commissions through his link. (Didn’t really care for WA). Travis seems to have a great touch with a list…humor, value, free information and sales copy. When I’ve had a question, he’s personally answered my email. He’s certainly not the flavor of the day, but he gives great value, has staying power and is warm and funny.
Great topic. Thanks for the opportunity to share. – E
Ryan, I just have one name for you right now. I’ve spent more than I care to acknowledge on products, conferences, etc. Time and again I was left feeling like the guru just plain didn’t deliver. Anyway, my one name is Ryan Lee. Last week I bought the Ryan Lee method. This was my first Ryan Lee product. No disappointment here. No fluff. I do root canals (not my IM niche) all day and I’m listening to your mp3′s between patients! I can’t wait to get into the IC and the 1K Per Day Formula. I’m glad I found Ryan Lee and think he might just be the last “guru” I need! Keep up the great work! (I’m sure there are many more great teachers out there but right now Ryan is hitting the mark perfectly for me).
I love provocative questions like this….
Ryan Lee (thanks for keeping it REAL!!)
Gidon Shalwick (video marketing for real people..with no hype)
Jonathan Budd (who can get a little caught up in the hype but is great for inspiration..)
As a consultant, I am checking folks out all the time…. my dump list is long and distinquished… but now tops over 50 “gurus” who are the masters of affiliate marketing for their pocket book.
A big thanks for providing real insight Ryan.
Cheers!
Tara

Ive been pleased to have been part of many of Ryan’s programs for a long time!! He’s the top of my list for sure!!
I love Ryan’s No BS approach! I have learned so much about the ways to get stuff done that are easy to understand and effective! Love the Ryan Lee Method, IC and looking forward to the 1k per day formula!!!
Nancy Marmelejo- she is great at getting to the heart of your business!
Kathleen Gage
Sandi Krakowski
Can’t believe no one has mentioned Andre Chaperon. I learned more from Andre’s free content on his Affiliate Bully site than I had in the previous 3yrs both by myself and buying ebooks/courses etc. The guy is a genius marketer, very ‘under the radar’ and his shit just flat out works. Honest and responsive, his angle and approach to marketing and his customers, or tribe as he calls us are totally different than virtually anyone else out there at the mo. For me he’s currently head and shoulders above the rest and hands down the best marketer working right now.
Sandi Krakowski!

There is a lot more but I’ll stop :)
It’s cool to see others peoples favorites!
LC
Hard to believe no one has mentioned Ken McCarthy-a little ahead of the curve, and helped introduce many of the big gurus now.
Frank Kern-master storyteller
Dan Kennedy (the one who taught most of the names mentioned, including Sandi Krakowski-who’s a really funny lady-I sat next to her at a Dan Kennedy event-loved it!)
I have to say most of the people mentioned are pretty much products of Dan Kennedy/Bill Glazer and are in his Platinum group/and pay him for 1/2 to full day of private coaching every so often. Just get his stuff!
Jeff Johnson
Eben Pagan
Marlon Sanders
etc.
I find it interesting that some I don’t like and think just care about promoting and money and not quality, others love, and some I love, others think are just after money.
It seems that most products-especially the big name ones-really can make a difference if they’re used, and applied with common sense, creativity, and desire to make a difference and help others.

Thank you kindly my friend!
Amazing to be included in such an esteemed list
I like Sean Donohoe and Dave Guindon, Dave gives UN-biased reviews of programs to me and his list and they all seem to be really good.
Len
Over the last 6 years I ended up subscribing to 20 marketers. Then after concluding that I was suffering from severe procrastination caused by overwhelm I unsubscribed to all apart from:
Ryan Lee: I like your honesty, no bs and cut to the black and white approach. Genuine guy.
Ryan Deiss: I can’t bring myself to ignore the fact that he has a big team that test everything, so I listen. (sometimes skeptical though of his fear/shock factors that are a bit hyped)
Frank Kern: smooth operator – has now started to tell it like it is. Clever with psychology tactics, I like him and again I listen. Brave to try and change the game now and then in order to stand out/be different. Has confidence balls and guts.
Dan Kennedy: The old school master of fundamentals because believe it or not, they never change.
Brendon Burchard: He does give a lot – I have never bought any of his products but was quite surprised at a couple of negative comments here about them – Interesting!
I do also get Ashley and Gavin’s deals from successetc.com, like a Groupon of internet marketing products – Most I ignore as I’ve never heard of the the people/products but now and then you’ll find a gem like Ryan’s Nano Continuity Program for next to nothing. (Thanks Ryan!)
I agree with Michael, I wish Corey Rudl was still alive. I believe I could have learnt a lot.
Since unsubscribing to the others I am definitely more focused, clear and productive. I just know 2012 will be my best year!
To all your success!!
1. Frank Kern (Hey …we are both surfers from middle GA. …who wudda thought?)
2. Ryan Lee ( of course ….the guy just a cool dude!)
3. Dan Kennedy
4. Brendon Burchard
5. Ryan Deiss
Thanks Ryan for keeping it real and just being you!

I see that more than 160 names mentioned above, and only 10 of them getting at least 5 mentions. And more than 100 mentioned only once.
The handful that I used to get started and still look to now are:
Craig Ballantyne
Ryan Lee
Elliot Hulse
Bedros Keuillian
It’s to easy to get into information overload so my list is short.
Who you like vs who you PAY. Do you like them enough to fork
over your money?
I do monthly memberships and product purchases with / from:
Ryan Lee
Jim Edwards
I’ve gotten stuff from Tellman but find he spends more time trying
to sell me stuff than providing value. Even his Christmas stocking
promotion wasn’t free. I mean who tries to “sell” you a Christmas
present.
I have a long history with Dan Kennedy but don’t do continuity with them.
And let’s not forget Chris Farrell.
Many others mentioned I personally find to be like an inbreed family.
To add a few names I haven’t noticed yet:
Marcia Yudkin (maybe the most ethical person in the entire marketing world, and “wicked smart” as we say here in New England)
PJ McClure (a real you-can-do-it guy–a bit Christian for my taste, but rooted firmly in practical inspiration)
George Kao (best on how to market effectively on social media)
Susan Harrow (queen of sound bites and traditional media)
Chris Brogan (showing by example how he builds businesses and networks as an online thought-leader)
Of course, I follow several that were mentioned, but I don’t want to be repetitious.
Interestingly, there are two names that crop up repeatedly in the contents who I simply do not trust at all. I’ve never bought anything from either one, but I find their stuff full of hype and slime and am off their lists.
Dan Kennedy is an interesting case. He is one smart marketing dude, but his attitude really turns me off. Cultivating deliberate inaccessibility and arrogance is the opposite of my philosophy–I’ve made a very decent living by being not only ethical but approachable and friendly. Yeah, after 30 years in business, I still answer my own phone (unless my wife gets there first). I have bought some stuff from him (probably under $100 total) and keep it all on file, because there’s no one better and creating marketing hooks. I even reread that stuff once in a while. But I don’t see myself joining as a member.
In fact, this is so important to me that along with being ethical and green, I talk about being caring and friendly as part of the marketing success strategy (for instance, in my latest book, Guerilla Marketing Goes Green). Just the other day, I was being interviewed on a radio show and we got into a discussion where I claimed that being a jerk is NOT a success recipe.
Not surprisingly, Ryan is NEVER a jerk.
Congratulations for this site!!!!

Absolutely. She makes smart decisions and reaches out to help readily.
Since I do not do a lot of internet marketing, I was happy to see that Mari Smith made the list.
I like Brandon on his video, but it did not call me forward to pursue.
Ryan I look forward to seeing what you do as you are obviously well liked.
Ann Sieg
Natasha Nassar Hazlett
These are the people I trust to give me advice, coaching and a kick in the butt (when needed).
My choice is Ann Sieg. Her most important objective is to see that her subscribers are successful, and she puts herself forward 100 percent to meet that objective.
My top list today:
Ann Sieg
Seth Godin
Ty Tribble
Natasha Hazlett
Stacia Hopkins
Eric Walker
Lewis Howe
Jeremy Simon
Melissa Ingold
These are the people whose emails I ALWAYS open….the rest….sometimes :)
